Supplementary Provisions

This Ministerial Order comes into effect as of December 1, 1998.

The written claim for unpaid benefits for unemployment, etc. under Article 17-2, paragraph (1) of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Employment Insurance Act after amendment (hereinafter referred to as the "New Ordinance"), the written application for continuous employment benefits for the elderly under Article 101-5, paragraph (1) and Article 101-7 of the New Ordinance, the written application for childcare leave-related benefits under Article 101-13, paragraph (1) of the New Ordinance, and the written application for return-to-work benefits for persons on childcare leave under Article 101-14, paragraph (1) of the New Ordinance may, for the time being, continue to be in the corresponding forms of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Employment Insurance Act before amendment (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Ordinance").

Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 101-2-7, paragraph (2) of the New Ordinance, the written application for educational training benefits during the period from December 1, 1998 to February 28, 1999 must be submitted during the period from March 1 to March 31, 1999; provided, however, that this does not apply where there is an unavoidable reason, such as a natural disaster, for not having submitted it.

With regard to the payment of the incentive for course attendance by middle-aged and elderly workers, etc. under Article 138, item (iv) of the Former Ordinance pertaining to educational training prescribed in Article 139-3 of the Former Ordinance commenced before December 1, 1998, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
