Supplementary Provisions, Article 26
The provisions of Article 55, paragraph (3) of the New Securities and Exchange Act apply to the abolition of securities business, a merger (limited to a merger in which the company is extinguished by the merger), dissolution for a reason other than a merger or bankruptcy, or the transfer of all or part of the business, on or after the day on which 30 days have elapsed counting from the effective date, and the provisions then in force continue to govern the abolition of securities business, a merger (limited to a merger in which the company is extinguished by the merger), dissolution for a reason other than a merger or bankruptcy, or the transfer of all or part of the business, before that day.
新証券取引法第五十五条第三項の規定は、施行日から起算して三十日を経過した日以後の証券業の廃止、合併（合併により消滅する場合の当該合併に限る。）、合併及び破産以外の理由による解散又は営業の全部若しくは一部の譲渡について適用し、同日前の証券業の廃止、合併（合併により消滅する場合の当該合併に限る。）、合併及び破産以外の理由による解散又は営業の全部若しくは一部の譲渡については、なお従前の例による。
