第一条（施行期日）
Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
この法律は、公布の日から起算して三年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 3 years from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
第一条のうち出入国管理及び難民認定法（以下「入管法」という。）第五十三条第三項の改正規定（同項第三号に係る部分を除く。）及び第三条のうち日本国との平和条約に基づき日本の国籍を離脱した者等の出入国管理に関する特例法（以下「特例法」という。）第八条中「第七十条第八号」を「第七十条第一項第八号」に改める改正規定並びに附則第六十条の規定 公布の日
the provision in Article 1 amending Article 53, paragraph (3) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Immigration Control Act") (excluding the part pertaining to item (iii) of that paragraph), the provision in Article 3 amending "Article 70, item (viii)" to "Article 70, paragraph (1), item (viii)" in Article 8 of the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Act"), and the provisions of Article 60 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation;

the provisions in Article 1 amending Article 23 (including its heading), Article 76 and Article 77-2 of the Immigration Control Act, and the provisions of Article 6 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 6 months from the date of promulgation;

the provisions of Article 13 (excluding paragraph (6)), Article 14, Article 27 (excluding paragraph (5)), Article 35 (limited to the part pertaining to Article 27, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions) and Article 42 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 2 years and 6 months from the date of promulgation;
第一条中入管法第五十三条第三項の改正規定（同項第三号に係る部分に限る。） 強制失踪からのすべての者の保護に関する国際条約が日本国について効力を生ずる日又はこの法律の公布の日のいずれか遅い日
the provision in Article 1 amending Article 53, paragraph (3) of the Immigration Control Act (limited to the part pertaining to item (iii) of that paragraph): the date on which the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances enters into force with respect to Japan, or the date of promulgation of this Act, whichever is later.
