Supplementary Provisions
第一条（施行期日）
Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
この法律は、公布の日から起算して六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 6 months from the date of promulgation.
第十四条（罰則の適用等に関する経過措置）
Supplementary Provisions, Article 14Transitional Measures Concerning Application of Penal Provisions and Other Matters
この法律の施行前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions then in force continue to govern the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect.
第十六条
Supplementary Provisions, Article 16
この法律の施行前に附則第二条の規定による改正前の刑法第二百八条の二（附則第十四条の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合における当該規定を含む。）の罪を犯した者に対する出入国管理及び難民認定法第五条第一項第九号の二、第二十四条第四号の二、第二十四条の三第三号、第六十一条の二の二第一項第二号及び第六十一条の二の四第一項第八号の規定の適用については、これらの規定中「第十六条の罪又は」とあるのは「第十六条の罪、」と、「第六条第一項」とあるのは「第六条第一項の罪又は同法附則第二条の規定による改正前の刑法第二百八条の二（自動車の運転により人を死傷させる行為等の処罰に関する法律附則第十四条の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合における当該規定を含む。）」とする。
With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 5, paragraph (1), item (ix)-2, Article 24, item (iv)-2, Article 24-3, item (iii), Article 61-2-2, paragraph (1), item (ii) and Article 61-2-4, paragraph (1), item (viii) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act to a person who, before this Act comes into effect, committed a crime under Article 208-2 of the Penal Code prior to the amendment by the provisions of Article 2 of the Supplementary Provisions (including that provision as applied in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 14 of the Supplementary Provisions), the phrase "a crime under Article 16 or" in these provisions is deemed to be replaced with "a crime under Article 16,", and the phrase "Article 6, paragraph (1)" is deemed to be replaced with "a crime under Article 6, paragraph (1) of the same Act or a crime under Article 208-2 of the Penal Code prior to the amendment by the provisions of Article 2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the same Act (including that provision as applied in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 14 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act on Punishment of Acts Causing Death or Injury to Persons by Driving an Automobile)".
