委員会は、第五十五条の十第二項に規定する事務を行うほか、出国待機施設（第十三条の二第一項に規定する法務省令で定める施設をいう。以下この項及び第五十九条第三項において同じ。）の適正な運営に資するため、法務省令で定める担当区域内にある出国待機施設を視察し、その運営に関し、当該出国待機施設の所在地を管轄する地方出入国在留管理局の長に対して意見を述べるものとする。
In addition to carrying out the affairs prescribed in Article 55-10, paragraph (2), in order to contribute to the proper operation of departure waiting facilities (meaning the facilities specified by Ministry of Justice Order prescribed in Article 13-2, paragraph (1); the same applies hereinafter in this paragraph and in Article 59, paragraph (3)), the Committee is to visit the departure waiting facilities located within its area of responsibility specified by Ministry of Justice Order and state its opinions concerning their operation to the director of the regional immigration services bureau having jurisdiction over the location of the departure waiting facility.
前二条の規定は、前項に規定する事務を行う場合に準用する。
The provisions of the preceding two Articles apply mutatis mutandis when carrying out the affairs prescribed in the preceding paragraph.
