第五十五条の二十一又は前条第二項の規定により貸与し、又は支給する物品は、被収容者の健康を保持するに足り、かつ、国民生活の実情等を勘案し、被収容者としての地位に照らして、適正と認められるものでなければならない。
Goods lent or provided pursuant to the provisions of Article 55-21 or paragraph (2) of the preceding Article must be sufficient to maintain the health of detainees, and must be found appropriate in light of their status as detainees, taking into consideration the actual state of the lives of the people and other circumstances.
