第二条（在留カードに関する経過措置）
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Concerning Residence Cards
この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）前に交付された在留カード（出入国管理及び難民認定法（第三項において「入管法」という。）第十九条の三に規定する在留カードをいう。以下この条及び附則第四条において同じ。）の有効期間については、なお従前の例による。
With regard to the validity period of a residence card (meaning a residence card prescribed in Article 19-3 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (referred to as the "Immigration Control Act" in paragraph (3)); hereinafter the same applies in this Article and Article 4 of the Supplementary Provisions) issued before the effective date of this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
With regard to the procedures for extension of the validity period of a residence card issued before the Effective Date whose validity period is set to expire on the day before the 16th birthday, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前に交付された有効期間の満了の日が十六歳の誕生日の前日とされている在留カードの有効期間の更新の申請があった場合に新たに交付される在留カードの有効期間については、第一条の規定による改正後の入管法第十九条の五第一項第二号中「五回目」とあるのは、「六回目」とする。
With regard to the validity period of a residence card newly issued upon an application for extension of the validity period of a residence card issued before the Effective Date whose validity period is set to expire on the day before the 16th birthday, the term "5th" in Article 19-5, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the Immigration Control Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 is deemed to be replaced with "6th".
With regard to the obligation to present a residence card issued before the Effective Date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
