①With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 19-15 of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act in the case where a mid- to long-term resident holding a registration certificate files the notification under Article 19-16 of the Immigration Control Act, the phrase "number of the residence card" in paragraph (1) of that Article is deemed to be replaced with "registration number of the alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal by the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".

②When the notification under Article 19-17 of the Immigration Control Act pertains to a mid- to long-term resident holding a registration certificate, with regard to the application of Appended Table III (4) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act, the phrase "number of the residence card" in the row for "Commencement of acceptance" in Table (i) of that Table is deemed to be replaced with "registration number of the alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal by the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".
