This Act comes into effect on January 1, 2010.

The provisions of Article 87, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act after the revision by this Act and Article 17-14 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 87, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 1 of the Act Partially Amending the Employees' Pension Insurance Act, etc. to Secure the Soundness and Reliability of the Public Pension System (Act No. 63 of 2013; hereinafter referred to as the "2013 Amendment Act"), as applied mutatis mutandis in Article 141, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 1 of the 2013 Amendment Act, which is deemed to remain in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 5, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act (in each case including a case where, pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, paragraph (8) of the Act on Special Provisions for Insurance Benefit and Insurance Premium Payment in Relation to Employee's Pension Insurance (Act No. 131 of 2007; hereinafter referred to as the "Employees' Pension Special Provisions Act"), Article 5, paragraph (8) of the Employees' Pension Special Provisions Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 140 of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, which is deemed to remain in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 141, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, Article 8, paragraph (8) of the Employees' Pension Special Provisions Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 140 of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, which is deemed to remain in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 141, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, or Article 22, paragraph (1) of the Child Allowance Act (Act No. 73 of 1971), those provisions are to be governed by the example of these provisions); Article 97, paragraph (1) of the National Pension Act (including where applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 134-2, paragraph (1)) and Article 9-2-5 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 20-9, paragraphs (4) and (5) of the Supplementary Provisions of the National Public Officers Mutual Aid Association Act; Article 144-13, paragraph (3) of the Local Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act and Article 34-2 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 30, paragraph (3) of the Private School Personnel Mutual Aid Association Act and paragraph (35) of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 87, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act and Article 17-14 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act, as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 22, paragraph (1) of the Coal Mining Pension Fund Act; Article 87, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act and Article 17-14 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act, as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 57, paragraph (4) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act on the Abolition, etc. of the Mutual Aid Association Act for Personnel of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Organizations, etc. to Achieve the Integration of the Employees' Pension Insurance System and the Mutual Aid Association System for Personnel of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Organizations (hereinafter referred to as the "2001 Integration Act"); Article 56, paragraph (1) of the Act on the Farmers Pension Fund, Independent Administrative Agency and Article 3-2 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 181, paragraph (1) of the Health Insurance Act and Article 9 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 133, paragraph (1) of the Mariners Insurance Act and Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 28, paragraph (1) of the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance (hereinafter referred to as the "Labor Insurance Premium Collection Act") and Article 12 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act; Article 28, paragraph (1) of the Labor Insurance Premium Collection Act and Article 12 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act, as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 19, paragraph (3) of the Act on Arrangement, etc. of Related Acts Incidental to the Enforcement of the Act Partially Amending the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act and the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance (hereinafter referred to as the "Arrangement Act"); and Article 28, paragraph (1) of the Labor Insurance Premium Collection Act and Article 12 of the Supplementary Provisions of that Act, as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 38, paragraph (1) of the Act on Asbestos Health Damage Relief (hereinafter referred to as the "Asbestos Health Damage Relief Act"), apply, respectively, to the delinquency charge pertaining to the premiums of Employees' Pension Insurance and the contribution to an employees' pension fund prescribed in Article 3, item (xii) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act for which the due date for payment or the payment due date falls on or after the day this Act comes into effect (including the amount to be collected under Article 140, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 1 of the 2013 Amendment Act, which is deemed to remain in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 5, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act), the special payment premiums prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (2) of the Employees' Pension Special Provisions Act, the amount equivalent to the unpaid contribution prescribed in Article 4, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Special Provisions Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 140 of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, which is deemed to remain in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 141, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, and the special contribution prescribed in Article 8, paragraph (2) of the Employees' Pension Special Provisions Act before the revision by the provisions of Article 140 of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, which is deemed to remain in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 141, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2013 Amendment Act, the contribution under Article 20, paragraph (1) of the Child Allowance Act, the premiums of the National Pension and the contributions to a National Pension Fund, the contributions and burden charges to be paid to the Japan Post Mutual Aid Association prescribed in Article 20-4, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the National Public Officers Mutual Aid Association Act, the contributions and burden charges that an organization prescribed in Article 144-3, paragraph (1) of the Local Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act is required to pay, the contribution under the provisions of the Private School Personnel Mutual Aid Association Act, the contribution to the Coal Mining Pension Fund, the special affairs burden charge prescribed in Article 57, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2001 Integration Act, the premiums of the farmers' pension, the premiums of Health Insurance, the premiums of Mariners Insurance, the labor insurance premiums prescribed in Article 10, paragraph (2) of the Labor Insurance Premium Collection Act, the special premiums under Article 19, paragraph (1) of the Arrangement Act, and the general contribution prescribed in Article 37, paragraph (1) of the Asbestos Health Damage Relief Act (hereinafter referred to as "premiums, etc."), and the provisions then in force continue to govern the delinquency charge pertaining to premiums, etc. for which the due date for payment or the payment due date falls before that day.

If this Act and the Japan Pension Organization Act or the Act Partially Amending the Employment Insurance Act, etc. (Act No. 30 of 2007) each contain a provision amending the same provision of a law, and those amending provisions come into effect on the same day, the provisions of that law are to be amended first by the Japan Pension Organization Act or the Act Partially Amending the Employment Insurance Act, etc., and then amended by this Act.
