第八条
With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 19-15 of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act in the case where a mid- to long-term resident to be issued a residence card later whose passport has had stated in it, pursuant to the provisions of Article 11, paragraph (2), the number of the residence card scheduled to be issued to that mid- to long-term resident to be issued a residence card later (hereinafter referred to as an "Article 11(2) mid- to long-term resident") files the notification under Article 19-16 of the Immigration Control Act, the phrase "number of the residence card" in paragraph (1) of that Article is deemed to be replaced with "number of the residence card scheduled to be issued to the mid- to long-term resident, as stated in the passport pursuant to the provisions of Article 11, paragraph (2) of the Ministerial Order on the Arrangement of Ministerial Orders Related to the Ministry of Justice and on Transitional Measures upon the Enforcement of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Ministry of Justice Order No. 43 of 2011)".
後日交付中長期在留者であって、第十一条第二項の規定により旅券に当該後日交付中長期在留者に交付することを予定する在留カードの番号を記載されたもの（以下「第十一条第二項中長期在留者」という。）が入管法第十九条の十六の届出をする場合における新入管法施行規則第十九条の十五の規定の適用については、同条第一項中「在留カードの番号」とあるのは、「旅券に出入国管理及び難民認定法及び日本国との平和条約に基づき日本の国籍を離脱した者等の出入国管理に関する特例法の一部を改正する等の法律の施行に伴う法務省関係省令の整備及び経過措置に関する省令（平成二十三年法務省令第四十三号）第十一条第二項の規定により記載された当該中長期在留者に交付することを予定する在留カードの番号」とする。
When the notification under Article 19-17 of the Immigration Control Act pertains to an Article 11(2) mid- to long-term resident, with regard to the application of Appended Table III (4) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act, the phrase "number of the residence card" in the row for "Commencement of acceptance" in Table (i) of that Table is deemed to be replaced with "number of the residence card scheduled to be issued to the mid- to long-term resident, as stated in the passport pursuant to the provisions of Article 11, paragraph (2) of the Ministerial Order on the Arrangement of Ministerial Orders Related to the Ministry of Justice and on Transitional Measures upon the Enforcement of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Ministry of Justice Order No. 43 of 2011)".
入管法第十九条の十七の届出が第十一条第二項中長期在留者に係るものであるときは、新入管法施行規則別表第三の四の適用については、同表の一の表受入れの開始の項中「在留カードの番号」とあるのは、「旅券に出入国管理及び難民認定法及び日本国との平和条約に基づき日本の国籍を離脱した者等の出入国管理に関する特例法の一部を改正する等の法律の施行に伴う法務省関係省令の整備及び経過措置に関する省令（平成二十三年法務省令第四十三号）第十一条第二項の規定により記載された当該中長期在留者に交付することを予定する在留カードの番号」とする。
