①If the materials listed in the right-hand column of Appended Table III of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act that are to be submitted pursuant to the provisions of Article 6, Article 6-2, paragraph (2), Article 20, paragraph (2) (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 24, paragraph (5)) or Article 21-2, paragraph (3) as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 21-3, paragraph (3) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act pertain to a mid- to long-term resident who holds a registration certificate during the period specified in each item of Article 15, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act (hereinafter referred to as a "mid- to long-term resident holding a registration certificate"), the phrase "residence card" in item (i), sub-item (b), item (ii), sub-item (b) and item (iii), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column of the row for "Investor/Business Manager", item (ii) of the right-hand column of the row for "Dependent", item (iii), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column of the row for "Designated Activities", and item (i), sub-item (b) and item (ii), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column of the row for "Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident" in that Table is deemed to be replaced with "alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal by the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".

②If the materials listed in the right-hand column of Appended Table III (5) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act that are to be submitted pursuant to the provisions of Article 21, paragraph (2) or Article 21-2, paragraph (3) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act pertain to a mid- to long-term resident holding a registration certificate, the phrase "residence card" in item (ii) of the right-hand column of the row for "Investor/Business Manager", item (ii) of the right-hand column of the row for "Dependent", item (iii), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column of the row for "Designated Activities" and item (ii) of the right-hand column of the row for "Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident" in that Table is deemed to be replaced with "alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal by the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".

③If the materials listed in the right-hand column of Appended Table III of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act that are to be submitted pursuant to the provisions of Article 6, Article 6-2, paragraph (2), Article 20, paragraph (2) (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 24, paragraph (5)) or Article 21-2, paragraph (3) as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 21-3, paragraph (3) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act pertain to a special permanent resident (meaning a special permanent resident prescribed in the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan (Act No. 71 of 1991; hereinafter referred to as "the Special Act")) who holds a registration certificate during the period specified in each item of Article 28, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act (hereinafter referred to as a "special permanent resident holding a registration certificate"), the phrase "special permanent resident certificate" in item (i), sub-item (b), item (ii), sub-item (b) and item (iii), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column of the row for "Investor/Business Manager" and item (i), sub-item (b) and item (ii), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column of the row for "Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident" in that Table is deemed to be replaced with "alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal by the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".
