With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 29-2, paragraph (2) of the new Regulation for Enforcement of the Immigration Control Act to a mid- to long-term resident holding a registration certificate, the phrase "residence card" in that paragraph is deemed to be replaced with "alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal by the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".
