Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2008; provided, however, that the provisions listed in the following items come into effect as of the date specified in the relevant item.
この法律は、平成二十年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、それぞれ当該各号に定める日から施行する。
The provisions of Article 1, Article 6, Article 13, Article 16 and Article 19, and Article 23, Article 25, Article 27 and Article 28 of the Supplementary Provisions: The date of promulgation
The provisions of Article 2: the date specified by Cabinet Order that falls on or before March 31, 2008.

Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Review
第二条（検討）
The government is to, with a target of five years after this Act comes into effect, taking into consideration the state of enforcement of this Act and other circumstances, review the manner of the regulations based on the provisions of the National Pension Act, etc. as amended by this Act, and, when it finds it necessary, is to take the necessary measures based on the results of that review.
政府は、この法律の施行後五年を目途として、この法律の施行の状況等を勘案し、この法律により改正された国民年金法等の規定に基づく規制の在り方について検討を加え、必要があると認めるときは、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures Incidental to the Partial Amendment of the National Pension Act
第三条（国民年金法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions then in force continue to govern the acquisition of status as an insured person of the National Pension for a person who made a notification under the provisions of Article 5, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the National Pension Act before the day on which this Act comes into effect (referred to in the following Article and Article 5 and Article 12 of the Supplementary Provisions as the "effective date").
この法律の施行の日（次条並びに附則第五条及び第十二条において「施行日」という。）前に国民年金法附則第五条第一項の規定による申出をした者についての国民年金の被保険者の資格の取得については、なお従前の例による。

第五条（国民年金法等の一部を改正する法律の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions then in force continue to govern the acquisition of status as an insured person of the National Pension for a person who made a notification under the provisions of Article 11, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc. (Act No. 95 of 1994) before the effective date, and for a person deemed to have made the notification under paragraph (1) of that Article pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (2) of that Article.
施行日前に国民年金法等の一部を改正する法律（平成六年法律第九十五号）附則第十一条第一項の規定による申出をした者及び同条第二項の規定により同条第一項の申出があったものとみなされた者についての国民年金の被保険者の資格の取得については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 27Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第二十七条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to an act committed before this Act (or, for the provisions listed in the items of Article 1 of the Supplementary Provisions, those provisions; the same applies in the following Article) comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 28Delegation of Other Transitional Measures to Cabinet Order
第二十八条（その他の経過措置の政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary incidental to the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
