The amount of the general insurance premiums is to be the amount obtained by multiplying the total amount of wages by the insurance premium rate pertaining to the general insurance premiums pursuant to the provisions of the following Article.
The "total amount of wages" referred to in the preceding paragraph mean the total amount of the wages paid to all the workers employed by the business operator for the business.
Notwithstanding the provision of the preceding paragraph, in the case of businesses specified by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the amount calculated pursuant to the provisions of Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare is deemed as the total amount of wages for the businesses.

賃金、給料、手当、賞与その他名称のいかんを問わず、労働の対償として事業主が労働者に支払うもの（通貨以外のもので支払われるものであつて、厚生労働省令で定める範囲外のものを除く。）

賃金、給料、手当、賞与など名前にかかわらず、働いたことへの対価として事業主が労働者に支払うもののことです。お金以外の物で支払われるもののうち、厚生労働省令で定める範囲に入らないものは除きます。
