第一条（施行期日）
Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding three months from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して三月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
The provisions of Article 4 and Articles 9, 10 (excluding the part pertaining to the Food Safety Commission prescribed in Article 22 of the Food Safety Basic Act (Act No. 48 of 2003) (hereinafter referred to in this Article and Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions as the "Food Safety Commission")), 12, 13, and 29 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation;
The provisions of Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions (limited to the part pertaining to the Food Safety Commission): the date on which the Food Safety Basic Act comes into effect;
The provisions of Article 2 (excluding the amending provisions listed in the following item), Article 6 (excluding the amending provisions listed in the following item), Article 8 (excluding the amending provisions listed in the following item), and Article 10, and Articles 2 through 5, 8, 16 through 18, 21 through 26, 31, 33, and 35 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding nine months from the date of promulgation;
第二条（次号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）、第六条（次号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）、第八条（次号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）及び第十条並びに附則第二条から第五条まで、第八条、第十六条から第十八条まで、第二十一条から第二十六条まで、第三十一条、第三十三条及び第三十五条の規定 公布の日から起算して九月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日
The provisions in Article 2 that amend Article 19 of the Food Sanitation Act (excluding the part that replaces "Article 17, paragraph (1)" with "Article 28, paragraph (1)"), the provisions in Article 6 that amend Article 19 of the Slaughterhouse Act, and the provisions in Article 8 that amend Article 39 of the Poultry Slaughtering Business Control and Poultry Meat Inspection Act: April 1, 2004;
