第四条
Article 97-2, paragraph (1), item (iii), (a) through (d) of the Road Traffic Act after its amendment by this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "New Act") applies to a person whose license has expired on or after the day following the day on which six months have elapsed from the date this Act comes into effect (hereinafter in this Article, the day on which six months have elapsed is referred to as the "base date"), and for a person whose license expired on or before the base date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律による改正後の道路交通法（以下「新法」という。）第九十七条の二第一項第三号イからニまでの規定は、この法律の施行の日から起算して六月を経過した日（以下この条において「基準日」という。）の翌日以後に免許が失効した者について適用し、基準日以前に免許が失効した者については、なお従前の例による。
Article 101-4, paragraph (2) of the New Act applies to a person seeking to renew a license for which the final day of the renewal period under Article 101, paragraph (1) of the Road Traffic Act (or, for a person seeking to apply for renewal of a license pursuant to Article 101-2, paragraph (1) of that Act, the day of filing that application; the same applies hereinafter in this Article) is on or after the base date, and for a person seeking to renew a license for which the final day of the renewal period under Article 101, paragraph (1) of that Act is on or before the day preceding the base date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
新法第百一条の四第二項の規定は、道路交通法第百一条第一項の更新期間が満了する日（同法第百一条の二第一項の規定による免許証の更新を申請しようとする者にあっては、当該申請をする日。以下この条において同じ。）が基準日以後である免許証の更新を受けようとする者について適用し、同法第百一条第一項の更新期間が満了する日が基準日の前日以前である免許証の更新を受けようとする者については、なお従前の例による。
Article 101-4, paragraph (3) of the New Act applies to a person seeking to renew a license for which the final day of the renewal period under Article 101, paragraph (1) of the Road Traffic Act is on or after the base date.
新法第百一条の四第三項の規定は、道路交通法第百一条第一項の更新期間が満了する日が基準日以後である免許証の更新を受けようとする者について適用する。
