Article 106-4Deletion of the License Information Record, etc.

第百六条の四（免許情報記録の抹消等）

A person who holds an Individual Number Card bearing a license information record must, on coming to fall under any of the following items, promptly present the Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the public safety commission with jurisdiction over the person's domicile and receive the deletion of the license information record; provided, however, that this does not apply if the person has returned the Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the head of a municipality (or, in the case of a specified residence card, etc. prescribed in Article 18-5, paragraph (1) of that Act, to the Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency) pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures or other laws and regulations.

免許情報記録個人番号カードを有する者は、次の各号のいずれかに該当することとなつたときは、速やかに、免許情報記録個人番号カードをその者の住所地を管轄する公安委員会に提示して免許情報記録の抹消を受けなければならない。ただし、当該免許情報記録個人番号カードを行政手続における特定の個人を識別するための番号の利用等に関する法律その他の法令の規定により市町村の長（同法第十八条の五第一項に規定する特定在留カード等であるものにあつては、出入国在留管理庁長官）に返納した場合は、この限りでない。

前条第一項第一号又は第二号に該当することとなつたとき。

when the valid period of the license information record expires (excluding a case that falls under item (i)).

免許情報記録の有効期間が満了したとき（第一号に該当する場合を除く。）。

In the case where a person whose license has been revoked pursuant to Article 104-2-2, paragraph (1), (2), or (4), Article 104-2-4, paragraph (1), (2), or (4), or Article 104-4, paragraph (2) still holds a license of another type, if the person presents the Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the public safety commission with jurisdiction over the person's domicile pursuant to the preceding paragraph, that public safety commission is to, notwithstanding that paragraph, carry out the rewriting of the license information record recorded on that Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the license information record pertaining to the license of that other type.

第百四条の二の二第一項、第二項若しくは第四項、第百四条の二の四第一項、第二項若しくは第四項又は第百四条の四第二項の規定により免許を取り消された者がなお他の種類の免許を受けている場合において、その者の住所地を管轄する公安委員会に対して前項の規定により免許情報記録個人番号カードを提示したときは、当該公安委員会は、同項の規定にかかわらず、当該免許情報記録個人番号カードに記録された免許情報記録を当該他の種類の免許に係る免許情報記録に書き換えるものとする。
