Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of April 1, 2024; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この法律は、令和六年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions of Article 1 (excluding the amending provisions set forth in the following item); the provision in Article 4 amending Article 6 of the Community Health Act; the provisions of Article 5; the provisions in Article 8 amending Article 6-5, Article 7, Article 7-2, Article 27-2 and Article 30-4, paragraph (10) of the Medical Care Act; the provisions of Articles 9 and 12; the provision in Article 17 amending Article 121, paragraph (1), item (i), sub-item (a) of the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People; the provisions of paragraphs (1) through (3) of the following Article and Article 3, Article 4, Articles 8 through 12, Article 14 and Articles 16 through 18 of the Supplementary Provisions; the provisions of Article 19 of the Supplementary Provisions (excluding the amending provisions set forth in the following item); the provisions of Article 24 of the Supplementary Provisions; the provisions in Article 31 of the Supplementary Provisions amending row 4 of Appended Table 2, row 5-5 of Appended Table 3, row 3 of Appended Table 4 and item (vi)-3 of Appended Table 5 of the Residential Basic Book Act (Act No. 81 of 1967); and the provisions of Articles 36 through 38 and Article 42 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation.
第一条の規定（次号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）、第四条中地域保健法第六条の改正規定、第五条の規定、第八条中医療法第六条の五、第七条、第七条の二、第二十七条の二及び第三十条の四第十項の改正規定、第九条及び第十二条の規定並びに第十七条中高齢者の医療の確保に関する法律第百二十一条第一項第一号イの改正規定並びに次条第一項から第三項まで、附則第三条、第四条、第八条から第十二条まで、第十四条及び第十六条から第十八条までの規定、附則第十九条の規定（次号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）、附則第二十四条の規定、附則第三十一条中住民基本台帳法（昭和四十二年法律第八十一号）別表第二の四の項、別表第三の五の五の項、別表第四の三の項及び別表第五第六号の三の改正規定並びに附則第三十六条から第三十八条まで及び第四十二条の規定 公布の日

第二条（検討）
The government is to promptly examine the state of medical care for post-infection symptoms of novel coronavirus infectious disease (limited to those whose pathogen is a coronavirus of the genus Betacoronavirus (limited to one that, in January 2020, was newly reported by the People's Republic of China to the World Health Organization as having the capacity to be transmitted to humans); the same applies hereinafter), from the viewpoint of ensuring appropriate medical care based on scientific knowledge, and take necessary measures based on the results.
政府は、新型コロナウイルス感染症（病原体がベータコロナウイルス属のコロナウイルス（令和二年一月に、中華人民共和国から世界保健機関に対して、人に伝染する能力を有することが新たに報告されたものに限る。）であるものに限る。以下同じ。）の罹患後症状に係る医療の在り方について、科学的知見に基づく適切な医療の確保を図る観点から速やかに検討を加え、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
Taking into account changes in the situation concerning novel coronavirus infectious disease, the government is to promptly examine how that infectious disease is to be positioned as a novel influenza, etc. infectious disease (meaning the novel influenza, etc. infectious disease prescribed in Article 6, paragraph (7) of the Infectious Diseases Control Act; the same applies in Article 6 of the Supplementary Provisions), from the viewpoint of comparison with the other types of infectious diseases prescribed in Article 6 of that Act, and take necessary measures based on the results.
政府は、新型コロナウイルス感染症に関する状況の変化を勘案し、当該感染症の新型インフルエンザ等感染症（感染症法第六条第七項に規定する新型インフルエンザ等感染症をいう。附則第六条において同じ。）への位置付けの在り方について、感染症法第六条に規定する他の感染症の類型との比較等の観点から速やかに検討を加え、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
The government is to examine how information on the efficacy and safety of vaccinations (including information on adverse reactions) is to be made public, and take necessary measures based on the results.
政府は、予防接種の有効性及び安全性に関する情報（副反応に関する情報を含む。）の公表の在り方について検討を加え、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
The government is to, with a target of five years after the enforcement of this Act, taking into account the conditions of enforcement, etc. of the respective Acts as amended by this Act (referred to as "the respective Acts as amended" in this paragraph), examine the provisions of the respective Acts as amended where it finds it necessary, and take required measures based on the results.
政府は、この法律の施行後五年を目途として、この法律による改正後のそれぞれの法律（以下この項において「改正後の各法律」という。）の施行の状況等を勘案し、必要があると認めるときは、改正後の各法律の規定について検討を加え、その結果に基づいて所要の措置を講ずるものとする。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 42Delegation to Cabinet Order
第四十二条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary in connection with the enforcement of this Act (including transitional measures concerning penal provisions) are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置（罰則に関する経過措置を含む。）は、政令で定める。
