Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date, etc.
第一条（施行期日等）
This Act comes into effect on September 1, 1997.
この法律は、平成九年九月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Health Insurance Act
第二条（健康保険法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
With regard to the amounts of medical expenses, dependent's medical expenses, high-cost medical expenses or special medical expenses under the provisions of the Health Insurance Act pertaining to medical care, provision of medication or treatment provided before the date of enforcement of this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）前に行われた診療、薬剤の支給又は手当に係る健康保険法の規定による療養費、家族療養費、高額療養費又は特別療養費の額については、なお従前の例による。

第三条
With regard to insurance premiums for health insurance for months on or before August 1997, the insurance premium rate previously in force continues to apply.
平成九年八月以前の月に係る健康保険の保険料については、なお従前の保険料率による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 15Review, Etc.
第十五条（検討等）
The government is to review, within three years after this Act comes into effect, the co-payment pertaining to the provision of medication and other matters pertaining to the amendments by this Act, taking into account trends in medical expenses including medication costs after this Act comes into effect, the financial condition of medical insurance, changes in the socioeconomic situation, etc., and if it finds it necessary, take required measures based on the results.
政府は、薬剤の支給に係る一部負担その他この法律による改正に係る事項について、この法律の施行後の薬剤費を含む医療費の動向、医療保険の財政状況、社会経済情勢の変化等を勘案し、この法律の施行後三年以内に検討を加え、必要があると認めるときは、その結果に基づいて所要の措置を講ずるものとする。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 16Delegation of Other Transitional Measures to Cabinet Order
第十六条（その他の経過措置の政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary incidental to the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
