With regard to the application of Article 17, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 1985 Amendment Act to a person who has a specified period (meaning the specified period prescribed in Article 9-4-2, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act; the same applies in the following paragraph), the phrase "including those deemed to be premium exemption periods" in that paragraph is deemed to be replaced with "including those deemed to be premium exemption periods, and excluding those relating to a premium that a person has been made not required to pay under the provisions of Article 90-3, paragraph (1) of that Act".
特定期間（法附則第九条の四の二第二項に規定する特定期間をいう。次項において同じ。）を有する者に対する昭和六十年改正法附則第十七条第一項の規定の適用については、同項中「保険料免除期間とみなすこととされたものを含む」とあるのは、「保険料免除期間とみなすこととされたものを含み、同法第九十条の三第一項の規定により納付することを要しないものとされた保険料に係るものを除く」とする。
