一Affairs relating to the acceptance of requests under the provisions of Article 5, paragraphs (1), (2) and (4) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act, Article 11, paragraphs (1), (2) and (5) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc. (Act No. 95 of 1994; hereinafter referred to as the "1994 Amendment Act"), Article 23, paragraphs (1), (2) and (5) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc. (Act No. 104 of 2004; hereinafter referred to as the "2004 Amendment Act"), and Article 40, paragraphs (1), (2) and (5) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc., and Other Matters, to Strengthen the Functions of the Pension System in Light of Socioeconomic Changes (Act No. 74 of 2025; hereinafter referred to as the "2025 Amendment Act"), and the examination of the facts relating to those requests (excluding requests under the provisions of Article 5, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act, Article 11, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 1994 Amendment Act, Article 23, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2004 Amendment Act, and Article 40, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2025 Amendment Act);

三Affairs relating to the acceptance of claims for a decision on the right to receive a benefit prescribed in Article 16 of the Act (limited to a decision on the right to receive any of the following benefits), and the examination of the facts relating to those claims:

イAn old-age basic pension paid to a person who has only an insured period as a category 1 insured person prescribed in Article 7, paragraph (1), item (i) of the Act (including an insured person under Article 5, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act, an insured person under Article 11, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 1994 Amendment Act, an insured person under Article 23, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2004 Amendment Act, an insured person under Article 40, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2025 Amendment Act, and an insured person under the Act prior to its amendment by Article 1 of the Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc. (Act No. 34 of 1985; hereinafter referred to as the "1985 Amendment Act") (hereinafter referred to as the "former Act"); hereinafter referred to as a "category 1 insured person") (excluding a person who has a deemed insured period at divorce prescribed in Article 78-7 of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act) (excluding one paid pursuant to the provisions of Article 15, paragraph (1) or (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 1985 Amendment Act);

ロAn old-age pension under the provisions of Article 9-3 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act;

ハA disability basic pension for a disability resulting from an injury or illness whose date of first medical examination falls during a period when the person was a category 1 insured person, or from an injury or illness whose date of first medical examination falls during a period when the person was a person prescribed in Article 30, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the Act (limited to one whose date of first medical examination is on or after April 1, 1986) (excluding one under the provisions of Article 31, paragraph (1) of the Act); a disability basic pension paid by virtue of the application of Article 29, paragraph (3) or Article 31 of the Transitional Measures Cabinet Order (excluding one under the provisions of Article 31, paragraph (1) of the Act); a disability basic pension under the provisions of Article 30-4 of the Act; and a disability basic pension under the provisions of Article 31, paragraph (1) of the Act (excluding one relating to a person who comes to hold the right to receive a disability employees' pension under the Employees' Pension Insurance Act based on the same ground for payment as that disability basic pension, or, among mutual aid pensions before the 2012 unification (meaning, collectively, a benefit that is a pension under the pre-amendment National Public Officers Mutual Aid Association Act prescribed in Article 37, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Employees' Pension Insurance Act, etc. to Unify, etc. the Employees' Pension Systems (Act No. 63 of 2012; hereinafter referred to as the "2012 Pension Unification Act") (hereinafter referred to as the "national public officers' mutual aid pension before the 2012 unification"), the local public officers' mutual aid pension before the 2012 unification (meaning a benefit that is a pension under the pre-amendment Local Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act prescribed in Article 61, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2012 Pension Unification Act; the same applies hereinafter) and the private school personnel mutual aid pension before the 2012 unification (meaning a benefit that is a pension under the pre-amendment Private School Personnel Mutual Aid Association Act prescribed in Article 79 of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2012 Pension Unification Act; the same applies hereinafter); the same applies hereinafter), a disability mutual aid pension or a disability mutual aid pension under the provisions of Article 41, paragraph (1) or Article 65, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2012 Pension Unification Act, or relating to a person entitled to receive the disability pension prescribed in Article 43 of the Transitional Measures Cabinet Order);

ニA survivors' basic pension relating to a person who comes to hold the right to receive a survivors' basic pension under the provisions of Article 37 of the Act upon the death of a category 1 insured person (excluding one relating to a person who comes to hold the right to receive a survivors' employees' pension under the Employees' Pension Insurance Act based on the same ground for payment as that survivors' basic pension, or, among mutual aid pensions before the 2012 unification, a survivors' mutual aid pension or a survivors' mutual aid pension under the provisions of Article 41, paragraph (1) or Article 65, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2012 Pension Unification Act);

ホA widow's pension;

ヘA death lump-sum payment;

トA special lump-sum payment paid pursuant to the provisions of Article 94, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 1985 Amendment Act;

四Affairs relating to the acceptance of claims prescribed in Article 19, paragraph (1) of the Act (limited to those relating to the following benefits that are pensions), and the examination of the facts relating to those claims:

イA disability basic pension for a disability resulting from an injury or illness whose date of first medical examination falls during a period when the person was a category 1 insured person or a category 3 insured person prescribed in Article 7, paragraph (1), item (iii) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as a "category 3 insured person"), or from an injury or illness whose date of first medical examination falls during a period when the person was a person prescribed in Article 30, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the Act (limited to one whose date of first medical examination is on or after April 1, 1986) (excluding one under the provisions of Article 31, paragraph (1) of the Act); a disability basic pension paid by virtue of the application of Article 29, paragraph (3) or Article 31 of the Transitional Measures Cabinet Order (excluding one under the provisions of Article 31, paragraph (1) of the Act); a disability basic pension under the provisions of Article 30-4 of the Act; and a disability basic pension under the provisions of Article 31, paragraph (1) of the Act (excluding one relating to a person who comes to hold the right to receive a disability employees' pension under the Employees' Pension Insurance Act based on the same ground for payment as that disability basic pension, or, among mutual aid pensions before the 2012 unification, a disability mutual aid pension or a disability mutual aid pension under the provisions of Article 41, paragraph (1) or Article 65, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2012 Pension Unification Act, or relating to a person entitled to receive the disability pension prescribed in Article 43 of the Transitional Measures Cabinet Order);

ロA survivors' basic pension (excluding one relating to a person who comes to hold the right to receive a survivors' employees' pension under the Employees' Pension Insurance Act based on the same ground for payment as that survivors' basic pension, or, among mutual aid pensions before the 2012 unification, a survivors' mutual aid pension or a survivors' mutual aid pension under the provisions of Article 41, paragraph (1) or Article 65, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 2012 Pension Unification Act);

ハA widow's pension;

五Affairs relating to the acceptance of applications prescribed in Article 20, paragraph (2) of the Act (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 11, paragraph (4) of the Supplementary Provisions of the 1985 Amendment Act), Article 41-2, and Article 42, paragraphs (1) and (2) (limited to those relating to a person entitled to receive a benefit that is a pension listed in (a) through (c) of the preceding item);

六Affairs relating to the acceptance of claims for revision of the amount of the disability basic pension prescribed in item (iv), (a);

七Affairs relating to the acceptance of requests prescribed in Article 87-2, paragraphs (1) and (3) of the Act, and the examination of the facts relating to those requests;

八Affairs relating to the acceptance of requests prescribed in Article 89, paragraph (2) of the Act, and the examination of the facts relating to those requests;

十Affairs relating to the acceptance of notifications, etc. prescribed in Article 105, paragraphs (1), (3) and (4) of the Act (with respect to the notifications, etc. prescribed in paragraphs (3) and (4) of that Article, limited to those relating to a person entitled to receive a benefit that is a pension listed in item (iv), (a) through (c)), and the examination of the facts relating to those notifications;

十一Affairs relating to the acceptance of claims for a decision prescribed in Articles 16 and 83 of the former Act, and the examination of the facts relating to those claims;

十二Affairs relating to the acceptance of claims for revision of the amount of a disability pension under the former Act.
