第八条
The provisions of Article 27-3, paragraphs (1) and (2) (limited to the part pertaining to item (i)), Article 27-6, paragraphs (1) and (2), Article 27-8, paragraph (2), Article 27-10, paragraphs (1) through (7) and paragraphs (11) through (14), Article 27-11, paragraph (1), and Article 27-13, paragraph (4) of the New Securities and Exchange Act apply to the purchase, etc. of share certificates, etc. by a tender offer under the provisions of Article 27-2, paragraph (1) of the New Securities and Exchange Act conducted during the tender offer period prescribed in Article 27-5 of the New Securities and Exchange Act that commences on or after the item (iii) effective date, and with regard to the purchase, etc. of share certificates, etc. by a tender offer under the provisions of Article 27-2, paragraph (1) of the Former Securities and Exchange Act conducted during the tender offer period prescribed in Article 27-5 of the Former Securities and Exchange Act that commenced before the item (iii) effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.

In Article 175-2, paragraph (4), item (ii), a purchase of share certificates, etc.; a transaction under Article 2, paragraph (21), item (ii) in which one is the party that receives money if the actual figure exceeds the agreed figure; a transaction under item (iii) of that paragraph in which one is the party that acquires the option; and other transactions a Cabinet Order (政令) specifies.
