Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions of Article 4 and Article 5 come into effect on the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding three months counting from that date.
この法律は公布の日から施行する。ただし、第四条及び第五条の規定は、同日から起算して三月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。

第二条（証券取引法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
With regard to the submission of an annual securities report under the provisions of Article 24, paragraph (1) of the Securities and Exchange Act prior to the amendment by the provisions of Article 4 for a business year that ended before the day on which the provisions of Article 4 come into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
第四条の規定の施行の日前に終了した事業年度に係る同条の規定による改正前の証券取引法第二十四条第一項の規定による有価証券報告書の提出については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第四条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect and to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in relation to acts for which the provisions then in force are to continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of the preceding two Articles, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為及び前二条の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる行為に係るこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
annual securities report
「有価証券報告書」
An annual securities report: the report that a company issuing securities listed on a financial instruments exchange, or otherwise falling under Article 24, paragraph (1), must submit to the Prime Minister for each business year, setting out its trade name, the state of its corporate group and its accounts, and other important matters about its business, within three months after the year ends for a domestic company.
