Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the day on which 20 days have elapsed from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して二十日を経過した日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
With regard to the punishment of acts committed before this Act comes into effect, and the effect and execution of judicial decisions that became final and binding before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern; provided, however, that this does not apply to the application of the provisions of Article 200, paragraph (2) of Article 205, paragraph (2) of Article 218 and paragraph (2) of Article 220 of the Penal Code prior to the amendment by this Act.
この法律の施行前にした行為の処罰並びに施行前に確定した裁判の効力及びその執行については、なお従前の例による。ただし、この法律による改正前の刑法第二百条、第二百五条第二項、第二百十八条第二項及び第二百二十条第二項の規定の適用については、この限りでない。
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, when the crimes to be sentenced as crimes for consolidated punishment include crimes committed before this Act comes into effect and crimes committed after it comes into effect, the provisions of Articles 10 and 14, Articles 45 through 50 and Article 53 of the Penal Code as amended by this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "new Act" in this Article) apply, and in the case where a single act constitutes two or more separate crimes, or an act as the means or results of a crime constitutes another crime, if the acts constituting those crimes include acts committed before this Act comes into effect and acts committed after it comes into effect, the provisions of Article 10 and Article 54 of the new Act (including paragraph (2) of Article 49 as applied under paragraph (2) of that Article) apply.
With regard to the processing concerning aggravation and reduction of punishment, suspension of execution of the sentence and other matters concerning the application of principal punishments after the provisions of the New Act prescribed in the preceding paragraph have been applied pursuant to the provision of that paragraph, the provisions of the New Act apply.
