第二十四章 礼拝所及び墳墓に関する罪
Article 188Desecrating Places of Worship; Interference with Religious Service
第百八十八条（礼拝所不敬及び説教等妨害）
A person who openly desecrates a shrine, temple, cemetery or any other place of worship is punished by imprisonment for 6 months or less or a fine of 100,000 yen or less.
神祠、仏堂、墓所その他の礼拝所に対し、公然と不敬な行為をした者は、六月以下の拘禁刑又は十万円以下の罰金に処する。
A person who interferes with a sermon, worship or a funeral service is punished by imprisonment for 1 year or less or a fine of 100,000 yen or less.
説教、礼拝又は葬式を妨害した者は、一年以下の拘禁刑又は十万円以下の罰金に処する。
Article 189Excavation of Graves
第百八十九条（墳墓発掘）
A person who excavates a grave is punished by imprisonment for 2 years or less.
墳墓を発掘した者は、二年以下の拘禁刑に処する。
Article 190Destruction of Corpses
第百九十条（死体損壊等）
A person who damages, abandons or unlawfully possesses a corpse, the ashes or hair of a dead person, or an object placed in a coffin is punished by imprisonment for 3 years or less.
死体、遺骨、遺髪又は棺に納めてある物を損壊し、遺棄し、又は領得した者は、三年以下の拘禁刑に処する。
Article 191Excavation of Graves and Damaging Corpses
第百九十一条（墳墓発掘死体損壊等）
A person who commits the crime prescribed under Article 189 and damages, abandons or unlawfully possesses a corpse, the ashes or hairs of a dead person, or an object placed in a coffin is punished by imprisonment for 3 months or more and 5 years or less.
第百八十九条の罪を犯して、死体、遺骨、遺髪又は棺に納めてある物を損壊し、遺棄し、又は領得した者は、三月以上五年以下の拘禁刑に処する。
A person who, without a postmortem examination, buries a person who died an unnatural death is punished by a fine of not more than 100,000 yen or a petty fine.
検視を経ないで変死者を葬った者は、十万円以下の罰金又は科料に処する。
