第十九章 印章偽造の罪
Article 164Counterfeiting or Unauthorized Use of the Imperial Seal
第百六十四条（御璽偽造及び不正使用等）
For the purpose of uttering, a person who counterfeits the Imperial Seal, State Seal or Imperial Signature, is punished by imprisonment for a definite term of 2 years or more.
行使の目的で、御璽、国璽又は御名を偽造した者は、二年以上の有期拘禁刑に処する。
The same applies to a person who without due authorization, uses the Imperial Seal, State Seal or Imperial Signature, or who uses a counterfeit Imperial Seal, State Seal or Imperial Signature.
御璽、国璽若しくは御名を不正に使用し、又は偽造した御璽、国璽若しくは御名を使用した者も、前項と同様とする。
Article 165Counterfeiting or Unauthorized Use of Official Seals
第百六十五条（公印偽造及び不正使用等）
For the purpose of unauthorized use, a person who counterfeits the seal or signature or the electronic or magnetic record of a seal or signature of a public office or public employee is punished by imprisonment for 3 months or more and 5 years or less.
The same applies to a person who, without due authorization uses the seal or signature or the electronic or magnetic record of a seal or signature of a public office or public employee, or who uses a counterfeit seal or signature or a counterfeit electronic or magnetic record of a seal or signature of a public office or public employee.
Article 166Counterfeiting or Unauthorized Use of Official Marks
第百六十六条（公記号偽造及び不正使用等）
For the purpose of uttering, a person who counterfeits the mark of a public office or an electronic or magnetic record of a mark (meaning an electronic or magnetic record that is to be displayed as a mark; the same applies in the following paragraph) is punished by imprisonment for 3 years or less.
The same applies to a person who uses without due authorization the mark of a public office or an electronic or magnetic record of a mark or who uses a counterfeit mark of a public office or a counterfeit electronic or magnetic record of a mark.
Article 167Counterfeiting or Unauthorized Use of Private Seals
第百六十七条（私印偽造及び不正使用等）
For the purpose of unauthorized use, a person who counterfeits the seal or signature or the electronic or magnetic record of a seal or signature of another person is punished by imprisonment for 3 years or less.
The same applies to a person who without due authorization, uses the seal or signature or the electronic or magnetic record of a seal or signature of another person or who uses a counterfeit seal or signature or a counterfeit electronic or magnetic record of a seal or signature of another person.
第百六十八条（未遂罪）
Any attempt to commit the crimes prescribed under paragraph (2) of Article 164, paragraph (2) of Article 165, paragraph (2) of Article 166 and paragraph (2) of the preceding Article is punished.
