This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provision adding one paragraph to Article 85 of the Road Traffic Act, the provision adding two paragraphs to Article 86 of the Road Traffic Act, the provision adding one paragraph after Article 87, paragraph (4) of the Road Traffic Act, and the provision amending Article 107-2 of the Road Traffic Act (limited to the part replacing "、又は" (, or) with "若しくは" (or, joining a smaller group of alternatives) and adding ", or in the case of driving a standard motor vehicle that is to be driven by a professional designated driver" after "in the case of driving") come into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding three years from the date of promulgation.
