Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures Accompanying the Repeal of the Residents Registration Act
第三条（住民登録法の廃止に伴う経過措置）
A notification or other act made before the Effective Date under the provisions of the Former Residents Registration Act is deemed to have been made under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
施行日前にした旧住民登録法の規定に基づく届出その他の行為は、この法律の相当規定に基づいてされたものとみなす。
With regard to the application of penal provisions to an act committed before the Effective Date in violation of the provisions of the Former Residents Registration Act, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前にした旧住民登録法の規定に違反する行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Beyond what is provided for in the preceding two paragraphs, the transitional measures necessary in connection with the repeal of the Residents Registration Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
前二項に定めるもののほか、住民登録法の廃止に伴い必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
