Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the day specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions of the following Article, Article 4, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions and Article 5 of the Supplementary Provisions (limited to the part relating to the application mutatis mutandis of Article 2 and Article 4, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions) come into effect as of the date of promulgation.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Amendment of Articles of Incorporation of the Organization
第二条（機構の定款の変更）
The Small Craft Inspection Organization (hereinafter referred to as the "Organization" in the following Article and Article 4 of the Supplementary Provisions) is to make the necessary amendment of its articles of incorporation and obtain the authorization of the Minister of Transport by the date of enforcement of this Act.
When the authorization under the preceding paragraph has been granted, the amendment of the articles of incorporation prescribed in that paragraph takes effect on the date of enforcement of this Act.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Payment to the National Treasury of the Amount Equivalent to the Capital of the Organization
第三条（機構の資本金相当額の国庫への納付）
The Organization must pay to the National Treasury, on the day this Act comes into effect, an amount equivalent to the amount of capital prescribed in Article 25-5 of the Ship Safety Act prior to the amendment under the provisions of Article 1.
機構は、第一条の規定による改正前の船舶安全法第二十五条の五に規定する資本金の額に相当する金額を、この法律の施行の日において、国庫に納付しなければならない。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Concerning the Officers of the Organization
第四条（機構の役員に関する経過措置）
A person who is, at the time this Act comes into effect, actually the president, a director or an auditor of the Organization is deemed to have received, at that time, the approval of the Minister of Transport for his or her appointment pursuant to the provisions of Article 25-20, paragraph (1) of the Ship Safety Act after the amendment under the provisions of Article 1.
この法律の施行の際現に機構の理事長、理事又は監事である者は、それぞれその際第一条の規定による改正後の船舶安全法第二十五条の二十第一項の規定により、その選任について運輸大臣の認可を受けたものとみなす。
When the Organization changes its articles of incorporation pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions, it must provide in those articles of incorporation for the terms of office of the officers who are deemed, pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, to have received the approval of the Minister of Transport for their appointment.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 5Mutatis Mutandis Application
第五条（準用）
The provisions of the preceding three Articles apply mutatis mutandis to the Light Motor Vehicle Inspection Organization. In this case, the phrase "Article 1" in Article 3 of the Supplementary Provisions is deemed to be replaced with "Article 2", the phrase "Article 25-5 of the Ship Safety Act" with "Article 76-5 of the Road Transport Vehicle Act", the phrase "Article 1" in paragraph (1) of the preceding Article with "Article 2", the phrase "Article 25-20, paragraph (1) of the Ship Safety Act" with "Article 76-20, paragraph (1) of the Road Transport Vehicle Act", and the phrase "Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions" in paragraph (2) of that Article with "Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to the following Article".
Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第六条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
