Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the day on which three months have elapsed from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して三月を経過した日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Interim Provisions
第二条（経過規定）
With regard to a re-registration applied for pursuant to the provisions of Article 14, paragraph (1) of the Road Transport Vehicle Act prior to the amendment (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Act") before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前に改正前の道路運送車両法（以下「旧法」という。）第十四条第一項の規定により申請された登録換えについては、なお従前の例による。
The motor vehicle registration ledger closed pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph must be retained for five years from the date of its closure.
前項の規定により閉鎖した自動車登録原簿は、その閉鎖の日から五年間保存しなければならない。
With regard to the retention of a motor vehicle registration ledger closed pursuant to the provisions of Article 14, paragraph (7) of the Former Act before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前に旧法第十四条第七項の規定により閉鎖した自動車登録原簿の保存については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3
第三条
A person who, at the time this Act comes into effect, is actually using private-use motor vehicles with a seating capacity of 10 persons or less and a gross vehicle weight of eight tons or more, and who has newly become required, owing to the amendment of the provisions of Article 50, paragraph (1), to appoint a maintenance manager for the base of operations of five or more and nine or less motor vehicles, may, for one year from the day this Act comes into effect, appoint a person who does not fall under any one of the items of Article 51, paragraph (1) of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment (hereinafter referred to as the "New Act") as the maintenance manager at that base of operations.
この法律の施行の際現に乗車定員十人以下で車両総重量八トン以上の自家用自動車を使用する者であつて第五十条第一項の規定の改正により新たに五両以上九両以下の自動車の使用の本拠につき整備管理者を選任しなければならなくなつたものは、この法律の施行の日から一年間は、改正後の道路運送車両法（以下「新法」という。）第五十一条第一項各号の一に該当しない者を当該使用の本拠における整備管理者に選任することができる。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4
第四条
A certification of a motor vehicle disassembly maintenance business under the provisions of the Former Act made before this Act comes into effect is deemed to have been made on the basis of the provisions of the New Act, as provided by Order of the Ministry of Transport. The same applies to an application for such certification.
A person who, at the time this Act comes into effect, is actually operating a business equivalent to a light motor vehicle disassembly maintenance business is, notwithstanding Article 78, paragraph (1) of the New Act, deemed to have received certification of a light motor vehicle disassembly maintenance business for one year from the day this Act comes into effect. The same applies where that person has applied for certification under Article 78, paragraph (1) of the New Act within that period, until the date on which that person receives notice that the certification has been granted or notice that the certification will not be granted.
この法律の施行の際現に軽自動車分解整備事業に相当する事業を経営している者は、新法第七十八条第一項の規定にかかわらず、この法律の施行の日から一年間は、軽自動車分解整備事業の認証を受けたものとみなす。その者が、その期間内に新法第七十八条第一項の認証を申請した場合において、認証があつた旨又は認証をしない旨の通知を受ける日までも、同様とする。
A person deemed under the provisions of the preceding paragraph to have received certification of a light motor vehicle disassembly maintenance business may, for one year from the day this Act comes into effect, appoint a person who does not fall under any one of the items of Article 86, paragraph (1) of the New Act as the chief inspector.
前項の規定により軽自動車分解整備事業の認証を受けた者とみなされたものは、この法律の施行の日から一年間は、新法第八十六条第一項各号の一に該当しない者を検査主任者に選任することができる。

第五条
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
