①This Act comes into effect on October 1, 1955.

②An application made under the provisions of the Road Transport Vehicle Act before the amendment, or the entry of it, that exists at the time this Act comes into effect is deemed to be an application made under the provisions of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment, or the entry of it, as provided by Order of the Ministry of Transport.

③A motor vehicle registration ledger, a certified copy or extract of the motor vehicle registration ledger, a motor vehicle inspection certificate, a motor vehicle preliminary inspection certificate or a certificate of transfer prepared or issued prior to the enforcement of this Act pursuant to the provisions of the Road Transport Vehicle Act before the amendment, or an entry therein, is, after this Act comes into effect, deemed to be a motor vehicle registration ledger, a certified copy or extract of the motor vehicle registration ledger, a motor vehicle inspection certificate, a motor vehicle preliminary inspection certificate or a certificate of transfer prepared or issued pursuant to the provisions of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment, or an entry therein, respectively, as provided by Order of the Ministry of Transport.

④With regard to an entry in the motor vehicle registration ledger, a certified copy or extract of the motor vehicle registration ledger, or a certificate of transfer, relating to a motor vehicle for which, at the time this Act comes into effect, there is in the motor vehicle registration ledger a registration other than registration of ownership of the motor vehicle, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, until the registration other than registration of ownership relating to that motor vehicle is cancelled.

⑤With regard to the application of Articles 12, 17 and 33 of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment to the motor vehicle referred to in the preceding paragraph, the provisions then in force continue to govern during the period referred to in the preceding paragraph, notwithstanding those provisions.

⑥With regard to the application of Article 14, paragraphs (3) and (8) and Article 68 of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment, an application for re-registration made under Article 14, paragraph (1) of the Road Transport Vehicle Act before the amendment that exists at the time this Act comes into effect is deemed to have been made on the date this Act comes into effect.

⑦With regard to the application of penal provisions to a violation of Article 35, paragraph (6) of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment, a validity period under Article 35, paragraph (2) of the Road Transport Vehicle Act before the amendment that expired before this Act came into effect is deemed to have expired on the date this Act comes into effect.
