Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the day on which 20 days have elapsed from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して二十日を経過した日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
The provision of Article 3-2 of the Penal Code as amended by this Act, the provision of paragraph (3) of Article 1-2 of the Act on Punishment of Acts of Violence and Other Related Acts (Act No. 60 of 1926) as amended by Article 3 of the Supplementary Provisions, and the provision of Article 5 of the Act on Punishment of Compulsion and Other Related Acts Committed by Those Having Taken Hostages (Act No. 48 of 1978) as amended by Article 4 of the Supplementary Provisions (limited to the part concerning Article 3-2 of the Penal Code) do not apply to acts committed before this Act comes into effect.
この法律による改正後の刑法第三条の二の規定並びに附則第三条による改正後の暴力行為等処罰に関する法律（大正十五年法律第六十号）第一条ノ二第三項及び附則第四条による改正後の人質による強要行為等の処罰に関する法律（昭和五十三年法律第四十八号）第五条の規定（刑法第三条の二に係る部分に限る。）は、この法律の施行前にした行為については、適用しない。
