An immigration control officer may use arresting ropes or handcuffs pursuant to the provisions of Ministry of Justice Order when escorting a detainee or if there is a risk that a detainee will engage in an act falling under any of the following items:
escaping;
逃走すること。
injuring themselves or inflicting harm on another person;
自身を傷つけ、又は他人に危害を加えること。
damaging the facilities, equipment or other objects of the immigration detention center, etc.
入国者収容所等の設備、器具その他の物を損壊すること。
The specifications of arresting ropes and handcuffs are specified by Ministry of Justice Order.
捕縄及び手錠の制式は、法務省令で定める。
