Supplementary Provisions, Article 6
第六条
In the application of the provisions of Article 58, paragraphs (2) and (3) of the item (vi) New Act, until the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the item (vi) Effective Date, the term "card" in paragraph (2) of that Article is deemed to be replaced with "card (or, in the case of the motor vehicle inspection certificate of a light motor vehicle subject to inspection prescribed in Article 59, paragraph (1), a written document stating the particulars recorded on the motor vehicle inspection certificate)", and the phrase "A motor vehicle inspection certificate" in paragraph (3) of that Article is deemed to be replaced with "A motor vehicle inspection certificate (excluding the motor vehicle inspection certificate of a light motor vehicle subject to inspection prescribed in Article 59, paragraph (1))".
第六号新法第五十八条第二項及び第三項の規定の適用については、第六号施行日から起算して一年六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日までの間は、同条第二項中「カード」とあるのは「カード（第五十九条第一項に規定する検査対象軽自動車の自動車検査証にあつては、自動車検査証記録事項が記載された書面）」と、同条第三項中「自動車検査証は」とあるのは「自動車検査証（第五十九条第一項に規定する検査対象軽自動車の自動車検査証を除く。）は」とする。
With respect to a motor vehicle inspection certificate of a light motor vehicle subject to inspection prescribed in Article 59, paragraph (1) of the item (vi) New Act that was issued or returned, during the period from the item (vi) Effective Date until the date specified by Cabinet Order referred to in the preceding paragraph, pursuant to the provisions of Article 60, paragraph (1), Article 62, paragraph (2) (including the case where it is applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 63, paragraph (3) and Article 67, paragraph (4) of the item (vi) New Act) or Article 71, paragraph (4) of the item (vi) New Act, or pursuant to the provisions of Article 22-2, paragraph (3) of the Comprehensive Special Zones Act as amended by the provisions of Article 22 of the Supplementary Provisions, the provisions then in force continue to govern after that date as well, notwithstanding Article 58, paragraphs (2) and (3) of the item (vi) New Act.
第六号施行日から前項の政令で定める日までの間に第六号新法第六十条第一項、第六十二条第二項（第六号新法第六十三条第三項及び第六十七条第四項において準用する場合を含む。）若しくは第七十一条第四項の規定又は附則第二十二条の規定による改正後の総合特別区域法第二十二条の二第三項の規定により交付され、又は返付された第六号新法第五十九条第一項に規定する検査対象軽自動車の自動車検査証については、同日後も、第六号新法第五十八条第二項及び第三項の規定にかかわらず、なお従前の例による。
