Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Accompanying the Amendment by the Provisions of Article 2
第四条（第二条の規定による改正に伴う経過措置）
Dispositions, procedures and other acts carried out before the provisions of Article 2 come into effect under the provisions of the Road Transport Vehicle Act prior to the amendment under the provisions of that Article (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Act") and orders based thereon are deemed to be dispositions, procedures and other acts carried out under the corresponding provisions of the Road Transport Vehicle Act after the amendment under the provisions of that Article (hereinafter referred to as the "New Act") and orders based thereon.
第二条の規定の施行前に同条の規定による改正前の道路運送車両法（以下「旧法」という。）及びこれに基づく命令の規定によつてした処分、手続その他の行為は、同条の規定による改正後の道路運送車両法（以下「新法」という。）及びこれに基づく命令の相当規定によつてした処分、手続その他の行為とみなす。
The verification slip, certified copy for new registration, motor vehicle inspection certificate, extraordinary inspection pass mark, inspection mark and motor vehicle preliminary inspection certificate issued under the provisions of the Former Act before the provisions of Article 2 come into effect are deemed to be, respectively, the verification slip, certificate of cancellation of registration, motor vehicle inspection certificate, extraordinary inspection pass mark, inspection mark and motor vehicle preliminary inspection certificate issued under the provisions of the New Act.
A registration made in the motor vehicle registration ledger before the provisions of Article 2 come into effect (including one made under the provisions of other laws and regulations) is deemed to be a registration made in the motor vehicle registration file.
第二条の規定の施行前に自動車登録原簿にした登録（他の法令の規定によつてしたものを含む。）は、自動車登録ファイルにした登録とみなす。
The Minister of Transport may, until the date specified by Cabinet Order, establish a motor vehicle registration ledger as provided by Cabinet Order and register motor vehicles in it.
運輸大臣は、政令で定める日までは、政令で定めるところにより、自動車登録原簿を設け、これに自動車の登録をすることができる。
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism may, for the time being, as provided by Cabinet Order, establish a motor vehicle registration ledger for particulars that are to be registered in the motor vehicle registration file under the provisions of other laws and regulations, and register those particulars in it.
国土交通大臣は、当分の間、他の法令の規定により自動車登録ファイルに登録すべき事項について、政令で定めるところにより、自動車登録原簿を設け、これに登録することができる。
A registration made in the motor vehicle registration ledger pursuant to the provisions of the preceding two paragraphs is deemed, for the application of the New Act and the provisions of other laws and regulations, to be a registration made in the motor vehicle registration file.
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism may, as provided by Cabinet Order, transfer the particulars registered in the motor vehicle registration ledger established pursuant to the provisions of the Former Act and paragraphs (4) and (5) to the motor vehicle registration file.
The Minister of Transport may, until the date specified by Cabinet Order, as provided by Cabinet Order, keep a motor vehicle inspection record book and record in it the particulars prescribed in Article 72 of the New Act.
運輸大臣は、政令で定める日までは、政令で定めるところにより、自動車検査記録簿を備え、これに新法第七十二条に規定する事項を記録することができる。
In addition to what is provided for in the preceding paragraphs, Cabinet Order may specify the transitional measures necessary in connection with the enforcement of the provisions of Article 2, and the delegation of authority and other measures found necessary in connection with the enforcement of the provisions of paragraphs (4) and (5) and the preceding two paragraphs.
