Detainees are to be lent or provided with the following goods (excluding books, etc.; the same applies hereinafter from this Article through Article 55-24 and in Article 55-68, paragraph (1), item (iii)) that are necessary for daily life in the immigration detention center, etc. (excluding the goods set forth in the items of Article 55-23, paragraph (1)):
被収容者には、次に掲げる物品（書籍等を除く。以下この条から第五十五条の二十四まで及び第五十五条の六十八第一項第三号において同じ。）であつて、入国者収容所等における日常生活に必要なもの（第五十五条の二十三第一項各号に掲げる物品を除く。）を貸与し、又は支給するものとする。
clothing and bedding;
衣類及び寝具
meals, and hot water and tea; and
食事及び湯茶
daily necessities, writing materials and other goods.
日用品、筆記具その他の物品
In addition to what is provided for in the preceding paragraph, detainees may, as necessary, be lent goods used for daily life in the immigration detention center, etc. (excluding the goods set forth in the items of Article 55-23, paragraph (1)) or be provided with luxury items, pursuant to Ministry of Justice Order.
被収容者には、前項に定めるもののほか、法務省令で定めるところにより、必要に応じ、入国者収容所等における日常生活に用いる物品（第五十五条の二十三第一項各号に掲げる物品を除く。）を貸与し、又は嗜好品を支給することができる。
