Supplementary Provisions, Article 18Transitional Measures concerning Revision at the End of the Insured's Maternity Leave under Employees' Pension Insurance

第十八条（厚生年金保険の産前産後休業を終了した際の改定に関する経過措置）

The provisions of Article 23-3 of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 3 apply to the insured's maternity leave prescribed in paragraph (1) of that Article (referred to as "insured's maternity leave" in the following Article and Article 20 of the Supplementary Provisions) that ends on or after the item (iv) Effective Date.

第三条の規定による改正後の厚生年金保険法第二十三条の三の規定は、第四号施行日以後に終了した同条第一項に規定する産前産後休業（次条及び附則第二十条において「産前産後休業」という。）について適用する。

Not working, for reasons of pregnancy or childbirth, during the period from 42 days (98 days for a multiple pregnancy) before childbirth — counted from the expected date where the birth comes later — to 56 days after it; for an insured who is a mariner (船員), other than one who is a member of a national or local public officers' mutual aid association, not serving under Article 87, paragraph (1) or (2) of the Mariners Act.
出産の日（出産の日が出産の予定日後であるときは、出産の予定日）以前四十二日（多胎妊娠の場合においては、九十八日）から出産の日後五十六日までの間において労務に従事しないこと（妊娠又は出産に関する事由を理由として労務に従事しない場合に限る。）をいい、船員（国家公務員共済組合の組合員たる船員及び地方公務員共済組合の組合員たる船員を除く。以下同じ。）たる被保険者にあつては、船員法第八十七条第一項又は第二項の規定により職務に服さないこと
