Supplementary Provisions, Article 68
第六十八条
Where a person who contracted an illness or suffered an injury due to a cause related to duty or while commuting during the period of being an insured under Mariners Insurance has, before the Effective Date, already passed one year and six months counting from the day of initial examination for that injury or illness, and that injury or illness has not healed, and on the Effective Date the person has a disability of a degree of severity that is classified as any of the disability grades prescribed in Article 47, paragraph (2) of the new Employees' Pension Insurance Act, the person is deemed to fall under the provisions of that Article, and the employees' disability pension under that Article is paid to the person. In this case, the phrase "the day of disability assessment for the disability that constitutes the grounds for payment of the relevant employees' disability pension" in Article 51 of that Act is deemed to be replaced with "April 1, 1986".
Payment of an employees' disability pension paid pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph is suspended during the period in which its beneficiary has the right to receive a disability pension prescribed in Article 40, paragraph (2) of the former Mariners Insurance Act.
