第三十四条（贈与等に関する経過措置）
With regard to the respective contracts of gift, sale and purchase, loan for consumption (including the preliminary contract for a loan for consumption prescribed in Article 589 of the Former Act), loan for use, lease, employment, contract for work, mandate, deposit, or partnership, in the case where any of those contracts was concluded before the Effective Date, and with regard to those contracts and any buy-back or other special agreement ancillary to those contracts, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前に贈与、売買、消費貸借（旧法第五百八十九条に規定する消費貸借の予約を含む。）、使用貸借、賃貸借、雇用、請負、委任、寄託又は組合の各契約が締結された場合におけるこれらの契約及びこれらの契約に付随する買戻しその他の特約については、なお従前の例による。
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the provisions of Article 604, paragraph (2) of the New Act also apply where a lease contract was concluded before the Effective Date and an agreement relating to the renewal of that contract is made on or after the Effective Date.
前項の規定にかかわらず、新法第六百四条第二項の規定は、施行日前に賃貸借契約が締結された場合において施行日以後にその契約の更新に係る合意がされるときにも適用する。
Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (1), the provisions of Article 605-4 of the New Act also apply where a lease contract for immovables was concluded before the Effective Date and, on or after the Effective Date, a third party disturbs the possession of those immovables or a third party is in possession of those immovables.
