第三十三条（定型約款に関する経過措置）
The provisions of Articles 548-2 through 548-4 of the New Act also apply to a contract relating to a standard transaction (meaning a standard transaction prescribed in Article 548-2, paragraph (1) of the New Act) concluded before the Effective Date; provided, however, that this does not preclude an effect that arose under the provisions of the Former Act.
新法第五百四十八条の二から第五百四十八条の四までの規定は、施行日前に締結された定型取引（新法第五百四十八条の二第一項に規定する定型取引をいう。）に係る契約についても、適用する。ただし、旧法の規定によって生じた効力を妨げない。
The provisions of the preceding paragraph do not apply if a contrary intention is manifested in writing by one of the parties to the contract prescribed in that paragraph (excluding a person that is currently able to exercise the right to cancel under the contract or the provisions of an Act) (including the case where it is manifested by means of an electronic or magnetic record that records its content).
The manifestation of contrary intention prescribed in the preceding paragraph must be made prior to the Effective Date.
