Supplementary Provisions, Article 42Transitional Measures for Acquisition and Loss of Status as an Insured Covered by Employees' Pension Insurance
第四十二条（厚生年金保険の被保険者資格の取得及び喪失の経過措置）
A person who was born on or after April 2, 1921, and who, on the day preceding the Effective Date, was an insured under Mariners Insurance pursuant to the provisions of Article 17 of the former Mariners Insurance Act, and who, on the Effective Date, is employed on a ship prescribed in Article 6, paragraph (1), item (iii) of the new Employees' Pension Insurance Act (excluding a person who acquires the status of an insured covered by employees' pension insurance on that day pursuant to the provisions of Article 13 of that Act), acquires the status of an insured covered by employees' pension insurance on that day. In this case, confirmation by the prefectural governor under the provisions of Article 18 of that Act is not required.
大正十年四月二日以後に生まれた者であり、かつ、施行日の前日において旧船員保険法第十七条の規定による船員保険の被保険者であつた者であつて、施行日において新厚生年金保険法第六条第一項第三号に規定する船舶に使用されるもの（同日に同法第十三条の規定により厚生年金保険の被保険者の資格を取得する者を除く。）は、同日に、厚生年金保険の被保険者の資格を取得する。この場合において、同法第十八条の規定による都道府県知事の確認を要しない。
A person who was born on or before April 1, 1921, and who, on the day preceding the Effective Date, was an insured covered by employees' pension insurance pursuant to the provisions of Article 9 or Article 10, paragraph (1) of the former Employees' Pension Insurance Act, loses the status of that insured on the Effective Date.
大正十年四月一日以前に生まれた者であつて、施行日の前日において旧厚生年金保険法第九条又は第十条第一項の規定による厚生年金保険の被保険者であつたものは、施行日に、当該被保険者の資格を喪失する。
