Article 157False Entries in the Original of Notarized Deeds

第百五十七条(公正証書原本不実記載等)

A person, who makes a false statement before a public employee and thereby causes the employee to make a false entry in the registry, family register book or the original of notarized deeds relating to other rights or duties, or creates a false record on the electronic or magnetic record to be used as the original of a notarized deed relating to rights or duties, is punished by imprisonment for 5 years or less or a fine of 500,000 yen or less.

公務員に対し虚偽の申立てをして、登記簿、戸籍簿その他の権利若しくは義務に関する公正証書の原本に不実の記載をさせ、又は権利若しくは義務に関する公正証書の原本として用いられる電磁的記録に不実の記録をさせた者は、五年以下の拘禁刑又は五十万円以下の罰金に処する。

A person, who makes a false statement before a public employee and thereby causes the employee to make a false entry in a license, permit or passport, or to make a false record in an electronic or magnetic record of a document or drawing or any other electronic or magnetic record that is used as the whole or a part of a license, permit or passport, is punished by imprisonment for 1 year or less or a fine of 200,000 yen or less.

公務員に対し虚偽の申立てをして、免状、鑑札若しくは旅券に不実の記載をさせ、又は電磁的記録文書等その他の電磁的記録であって、免状、鑑札若しくは旅券の全部若しくは一部として用いられるものに不実の記録をさせた者は、一年以下の拘禁刑又は二十万円以下の罰金に処する。

Any attempt to commit the crimes prescribed under the preceding two paragraphs is punished.

前二項の罪の未遂は、罰する。
