第五条（遺産の分割前における預貯金債権の行使に関する経過措置）
The provisions of Article 909-2 of the New Civil Code also apply where, with regard to succession that commenced before the Effective Date, a claim for deposits and savings is exercised on or after the Effective Date.
新民法第九百九条の二の規定は、施行日前に開始した相続に関し、施行日以後に預貯金債権が行使されるときにも、適用する。
With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 909-2 of the New Civil Code during the period from the Effective Date to the day preceding the date specified in Article 1, item (iii) of the Supplementary Provisions, the phrase "among claims for deposits and savings" in that Article is deemed to be replaced with "among claims for deposits and savings (meaning claims for deposits or savings relating to a deposit account or a saving account; the same applies below)".
施行日から附則第一条第三号に定める日の前日までの間における新民法第九百九条の二の規定の適用については、同条中「預貯金債権のうち」とあるのは、「預貯金債権（預金口座又は貯金口座に係る預金又は貯金に係る債権をいう。以下同じ。）のうち」とする。
