Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of April 1, 2022; provided however, that the provisions of Article 26 of the Supplementary Provisions come into effect as of the date of promulgation.
この法律は、平成三十四年四月一日から施行する。ただし、附則第二十六条の規定は、公布の日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Concerning Age of Majority
第二条（成年に関する経過措置）
The provisions of Article 4 of the Civil Code as amended by this Act (referred to as the "New Act" below) apply to a person who attains the age of 18 on or after the day of enforcement of this Act (referred to as the "Effective Date" below), and with regard to the time at which a person aged 20 or more at the time of the enforcement of this Act attained the age of majority, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律による改正後の民法（以下「新法」という。）第四条の規定は、この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）以後に十八歳に達する者について適用し、この法律の施行の際に二十歳以上の者の成年に達した時については、なお従前の例による。
A person aged 18 or more and less than 20 at the time of the enforcement of this Act (excluding a person prescribed in the following paragraph) is to attain the age of majority on the Effective Date.
With regard to a person who married before the Effective Date and was deemed to have attained the age of majority pursuant to the provisions of Article 753 of the Civil Code before amendment by this Act (referred to as the "Former Act" in paragraph (3) of the following Article), the person continues, after the enforcement of this Act as well, to be deemed to have attained the age of majority at the time of that marriage, in accordance with the provisions then in force.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures Concerning Marriage
第三条（婚姻に関する経過措置）
With regard to the cancellation of a marriage made before the Effective Date (limited to one on the ground that the woman had not attained the marriageable age), notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 731 and 745 of the New Act, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
A woman aged 16 or more and less than 18 at the time of the enforcement of this Act may marry, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 731 of the New Act.
この法律の施行の際に十六歳以上十八歳未満の女は、新法第七百三十一条の規定にかかわらず、婚姻をすることができる。
With regard to a marriage pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the provisions of Article 737, Article 740 (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 741 of the Former Act), and Article 753 of the Former Act remain in force.
前項の規定による婚姻については、旧法第七百三十七条、第七百四十条（旧法第七百四十一条において準用する場合を含む。）及び第七百五十三条の規定は、なおその効力を有する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Concerning Adoption
第四条（縁組に関する経過措置）
With regard to the annulment of an adoption made before the Effective Date (limited to one on the ground that the person who is to be the adoptive parent has not attained the age of majority), notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 4, 792, and 804 of the New Act and the provisions of Article 2, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 25Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第二十五条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to an act committed before the Effective Date and an act committed on or after the Effective Date in a case where the provisions then in force are to continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 13 of the Supplementary Provisions, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前にした行為及び附則第十三条の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合における施行日以後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 26Delegation to Cabinet Order
第二十六条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary in connection with the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に関し必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
