Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Transitional Measures for Licenses

第六条（免許等に関する経過措置）

A large motor vehicle license as referred to in before its amendment by (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Act") (hereinafter referred to as an "L-MVL as referred to in the Former Act"), a standard motor vehicle license as referred to in (hereinafter referred to as an "S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act"), a class 2 large motor vehicle license as referred to in (hereinafter referred to as a "class 2 L-MVL as referred to in the Former Act"), a class 2 standard motor vehicle license as referred to in (hereinafter referred to as a "class 2 S-MVL"), a provisional large motor vehicle license as referred to in (hereinafter referred to as a "provisional L-MVL as referred to in the Former Act"), or a provisional standard motor vehicle license as referred to in (hereinafter referred to as a "provisional S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act") is deemed, for each category of license set forth in the following items and as prescribed in the relevant item, to be a large motor vehicle license as referred to in Article 84, paragraph (3) of the Road Traffic Act after its amendment by (hereinafter referred to as the "New Act") (hereinafter referred to as an "L-MVL"), a mid-sized motor vehicle license as referred to in that paragraph (hereinafter referred to as an "M-MVL"), a standard motor vehicle license as referred to in that paragraph (hereinafter referred to as an "S-MVL"), a class 2 large motor vehicle license as referred to in paragraph (4) of that Article (hereinafter referred to as a "class 2 L-MVL"), a class 2 mid-sized motor vehicle license as referred to in that paragraph (hereinafter referred to as a "class 2 M-MVL"), a class 2 standard motor vehicle license as referred to in that paragraph (hereinafter referred to as a "class 2 S-MVL"), a provisional large motor vehicle license as referred to in paragraph (5) of that Article (hereinafter referred to as a "provisional L-MVL"), or a provisional standard motor vehicle license as referred to in that paragraph (hereinafter referred to as a "provisional S-MVL"):

の規定による改正前の道路交通法（以下「旧法」という。）の大型自動車免許（以下「旧法大型免許」という。）、の普通自動車免許（以下「旧法普通免許」という。）、の大型自動車第二種免許（以下「旧法大型第二種免許」という。）、の普通自動車第二種免許（以下「旧法普通第二種免許」という。）、の大型自動車仮免許（以下「旧法大型仮免許」という。）及びの普通自動車仮免許（以下「旧法普通仮免許」という。）は、次の各号に掲げる区分に応じ、それぞれ当該各号に定めるの規定による改正後の道路交通法（以下「新法」という。）第八十四条第三項の大型自動車免許（以下「大型免許」という。）、同項の中型自動車免許（以下「中型免許」という。）、同項の普通自動車免許（以下「普通免許」という。）、同条第四項の大型自動車第二種免許（以下「大型第二種免許」という。）、同項の中型自動車第二種免許（以下「中型第二種免許」という。）、同項の普通自動車第二種免許（以下「普通第二種免許」という。）、同条第五項の大型自動車仮免許（以下「大型仮免許」という。）及び同項の普通自動車仮免許（以下「普通仮免許」という。）とみなす。

an S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act other than as set forth in the following item and in items (ix) through (xi):an M-MVL that limits the mid-sized motor vehicles as prescribed in Article 3 of the New Act (hereinafter referred to as a "mid-sized motor vehicle") that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act to those that are equivalent to a standard motor vehicle as referred to in of the Former Act (hereinafter referred to as a "standard motor vehicle as referred to in the Former Act");

旧法普通免許で、次号及び第九号から第十一号までに掲げるもの以外のもの　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転することができる新法第三条の中型自動車（以下「中型自動車」という。）がの普通自動車（以下「旧法普通自動車」という。）に相当するものに限定されている中型免許

an S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act that limits the standard motor vehicles as referred to in the Former Act that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to of the Former Act to those that are equivalent to a standard motor vehicle as prescribed in Article 3 of the New Act (hereinafter referred to as a "standard motor vehicle"):an S-MVL that includes an equivalent limitation on the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act;

旧法普通免許で、の規定により、運転することができる旧法普通自動車が新法第三条の普通自動車（以下「普通自動車」という。）に相当するものに限定されているもの　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転することができる普通自動車について当該限定に相当する限定がされている普通免許

a class 2 S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act other than as set forth in the following item and item (xii):a class 2 M-MVL that limits the mid-sized motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act to those that are equivalent to a standard motor vehicle as referred to in the Former Act;

旧法普通第二種免許で、次号及び第十二号に掲げるもの以外のもの　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転することができる中型自動車が旧法普通自動車に相当するものに限定されている中型第二種免許

a class 2 S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act that limits the standard motor vehicles as referred to in the Former Act that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to of the Former Act to those that are equivalent to a standard motor vehicle:a class 2 S-MVL that includes an equivalent limitation on the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act;

旧法普通第二種免許で、の規定により、運転することができる旧法普通自動車が普通自動車に相当するものに限定されているもの　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転することができる普通自動車について当該限定に相当する限定がされている普通第二種免許

an S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act which, pursuant to of the Supplementary Provisions of the Former Act, is deemed to be held by a person as prescribed in (but only a person who did not pass the examination as prescribed in ), or an S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act which, pursuant to the first sentence of of the Supplementary Provisions of the Former Act, is held by a person as prescribed in the first sentence of (but only a person who did not pass the examination as prescribed in ):an S-MVL that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act to those that are equivalent to a small four-wheel motor vehicle as prescribed in the before its repeal under of the Supplementary Provisions of the Former Act;

の規定によりに規定する者（に規定する審査に合格しなかった者に限る。）が受けたものとみなされる旧法普通免許又は前段の規定により前段に規定する者（に規定する審査に合格しなかった者に限る。）が受けた旧法普通免許　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転すの規定による小型自動四輪車に相当するものに限定されている普通免許

an S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to (Act No. 96 of 1965; hereinafter referred to in this Article and of the Supplementary Provisions as the "Amending Act of 1965") to motorized three-wheeled vehicles as under the Road Traffic Act before its amendment by the Amending Act of 1965:an S-MVL that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act to motorized three-wheeled vehicles and light motor vehicles as under the Road Traffic Act before its amendment by the Amending Act of 1965;

道路交通法の一部を改正する法律（昭和四十年法律第九十六号。以下この条及びにおいて「昭和四十年改正法」という。）の規定により、運転することができる普通自動車が昭和四十年改正法による改正前の道路交通法の規定による自動三輪車に限られている旧法普通免許　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転することができる普通自動車が昭和四十年改正法による改正前の道路交通法の規定による自動三輪車及び軽自動車に限定されている普通免許

an S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act of 1965 to light motor vehicles as under the Road Traffic Act before its amendment by the Amending Act of 1965:an S-MVL that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act to light motor vehicles as under the Road Traffic Act before its amendment by the Amending Act of 1965; or

の規定により、運転することができる普通自動車が昭和四十年改正法による改正前の道路交通法の規定による軽自動車に限られている旧法普通免許　新法第九十一条の規定により、運転することができる普通自動車が昭和四十年改正法による改正前の道路交通法の規定による軽自動車に限定されている普通免許

a class 2 S-MVL as referred to in the Former Act that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act of 1965 to motorized three-wheeled vehicles as under the Road Traffic Act before its amendment by the Amending Act of 1965:a class 2 S-MVL that limits the standard motor vehicles that a person is permitted to drive pursuant to Article 91 of the New Act to motorized three-wheeled vehicles and light motor vehicles as under the Road Traffic Act before its amendment by the Amending Act of 1965.
