Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date on which the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership takes effect for Japan (referred to as the "effective date" in item (iii)); provided, however, that the provisions set forth in each of the following items come into effect as of the day specified in the relevant item:
この法律は、環太平洋パートナーシップに関する包括的及び先進的な協定が日本国について効力を生ずる日（第三号において「発効日」という。）から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 7Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Copyright Act
第七条（著作権法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Article 51, paragraph (2), Article 52, paragraph (1), Article 53, paragraph (1), Article 57, and Article 101, paragraph (2), items (i) and (ii) of the Copyright Act as amended by the provisions of Article 8 (referred to as the "New Copyright Act" in the following two paragraphs) apply to works, performances and phonograms in which copyright or neighboring rights under the Copyright Act before amendment by the provisions of Article 8 (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Copyright Act" in this paragraph) exist on the day preceding the effective date, and the provisions then in force continue to govern works, performances and phonograms in which copyright or neighboring rights under the Former Copyright Act have expired on that day.
The provisions of Article 116, paragraph (3) of the New Copyright Act apply where the day on which 50 years have passed, counting from the year following that in which the author or performer died, is on or after the effective date, and the provisions then in force continue to govern where that day is before the effective date.
新著作権法第百十六条第三項の規定は、著作者又は実演家の死亡の日の属する年の翌年から起算して五十年を経過した日が施行日以後である場合について適用し、その経過した日が施行日前である場合については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions of Article 121-2 of the New Copyright Act do not apply to a commercial phonogram set out in the items of that Article (including copies of that commercial phonogram (including copies made through two or more stages of reproduction)) for which the day on which 50 years have passed, counting from the year following that in which sounds were first fixed on the master of each of those items, is before the effective date (including one for which the day of that fixation is on or before December 31, 1967).
新著作権法第百二十一条の二の規定は、同条各号に掲げる商業用レコード（当該商業用レコードの複製物（二以上の段階にわたる複製に係る複製物を含む。）を含む。）で、当該各号の原盤に音を最初に固定した日の属する年の翌年から起算して五十年を経過した日が施行日前であるもの（当該固定した日が昭和四十二年十二月三十一日以前であるものを含む。）については、適用しない。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 8Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第八条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to an act committed before the effective date, and to an act committed on or after the effective date in a case in which the provisions then in force are to continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of the Supplementary Provisions, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前にした行為及び附則第五条の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合における施行日以後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 9Delegation to Cabinet Order
第九条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary in connection with the enforcement of this Act (including transitional measures concerning penal provisions) are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置（罰則に関する経過措置を含む。）は、政令で定める。
