第十二条
If, before the Emergency Measures Act came into effect, a minor child entered the house of the father or mother pursuant to the provisions of Article 737 or Article 738 of the Former Act, that child may revert to the former surname within one year from the time of attaining the age of majority. The same applies within one year after the New Act came into effect, where that child attained the age of majority before the New Act came into effect.
応急措置法施行前に未成年の子が旧法第七百三十七条又は第七百三十八条の規定によつて父又は母の家に入つた場合には、その子は、成年に達した時から一年以内に従前の氏に復することができる。その子が新法施行前に成年に達した場合において、新法施行後一年以内も、同様である。
