第三十二章 脅迫の罪
第二百二十二条（脅迫）
A person who intimidates another person using a threat to harm the life, body, freedom, reputation or the person's property is punished by imprisonment for 2 years or less or a fine of 300,000 yen or less.
生命、身体、自由、名誉又は財産に対し害を加える旨を告知して人を脅迫した者は、二年以下の拘禁刑又は三十万円以下の罰金に処する。
The same applies to a person who intimidates another person using a threat to harm the life, body, freedom, reputation or property of one's relatives.
親族の生命、身体、自由、名誉又は財産に対し害を加える旨を告知して人を脅迫した者も、前項と同様とする。
第二百二十三条（強要）
A person who intimidates another person using threat to harm the life, body, freedom, reputation or property of another person or by assault, causing the other person to perform an act which the person had no obligation to perform, or hinders the other person from exercising their own rights, is punished by imprisonment for 3 years or less.
生命、身体、自由、名誉若しくは財産に対し害を加える旨を告知して脅迫し、又は暴行を用いて、人に義務のないことを行わせ、又は権利の行使を妨害した者は、三年以下の拘禁刑に処する。
The same applies to a person who intimidates another person, using threat to harm the life, body, freedom, reputation or property of the relatives of the other person, causing the person to perform an act which the person has no obligation to perform, or hinders the person from exercising their rights.
親族の生命、身体、自由、名誉又は財産に対し害を加える旨を告知して脅迫し、人に義務のないことを行わせ、又は権利の行使を妨害した者も、前項と同様とする。
Any attempt to commit the crimes prescribed under the preceding two paragraphs is punished.
前二項の罪の未遂は、罰する。
