A person who counterfeits or alters a current coin, bank note or bill for the purpose of uttering is punished by imprisonment for life or for a definite term of 3 years or more.
行使の目的で、通用する貨幣、紙幣又は銀行券を偽造し、又は変造した者は、無期又は三年以上の拘禁刑に処する。
The same applies to a person who utters, or delivers or imports for the purpose of uttering, a counterfeited or altered coin, bank note or bill.
