Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 1997.
この法律は、平成九年四月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Definitions
第三条（用語の定義）
In this Article through Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions, and in Articles 12 and 13, Articles 15 through 19, Articles 21 through 27, Articles 29 through 33, Articles 35, 37 and 38, Articles 40 through 43, and Articles 45, 46, 49, 54, 59, 61, 64, 66, 67 and 119 of the Supplementary Provisions, the meanings of the terms set forth in the following items are as prescribed in the respective items:
この条から附則第十条まで、附則第十二条、第十三条、第十五条から第十九条まで、第二十一条から第二十七条まで、第二十九条から第三十三条まで、第三十五条、第三十七条、第三十八条、第四十条から第四十三条まで、第四十五条、第四十六条、第四十九条、第五十四条、第五十九条、第六十一条、第六十四条、第六十六条、第六十七条及び第百十九条において、次の各号に掲げる用語の意義は、それぞれ当該各号に定めるところによる。
"amended National Public Officers Mutual Aid Act" means the National Public Officers Mutual Aid Association Act as amended by the provisions of Article 2;
改正後国共済法 第二条の規定による改正後の国家公務員共済組合法をいう。
"amended National Public Officers Mutual Aid Enforcement Act" means the Act for Enforcement in Relation to Long-term Benefit under the National Public Officers Mutual Aid Association Act (Act No. 129 of 1958) as amended by the provisions of Article 76 of the Supplementary Provisions;
改正後国共済施行法 附則第七十六条の規定による改正後の国家公務員共済組合法の長期給付に関する施行法（昭和三十三年法律第百二十九号）をいう。
"pre-amendment National Public Officers Mutual Aid Act" means the National Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act before its amendment by the provisions of Article 2;
改正前国共済法 第二条の規定による改正前の国家公務員等共済組合法をいう。
"pre-amendment National Public Officers Mutual Aid Enforcement Act" means the Act for Enforcement in Relation to Long-term Benefit under the National Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act before its amendment by the provisions of Article 76 of the Supplementary Provisions;
改正前国共済施行法 附則第七十六条の規定による改正前の国家公務員等共済組合法の長期給付に関する施行法をいう。
"former National Public Officers Mutual Aid Act" means the National Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act before its amendment by the provisions of Article 1 of the Act Partially Amending the National Public Officers, etc. Mutual Aid Association Act, etc. (Act No. 105 of 1985; hereinafter referred to as the "1985 National Public Officers Mutual Aid Amendment Act");
旧国共済法 国家公務員等共済組合法等の一部を改正する法律（昭和六十年法律第百五号。以下「昭和六十年国共済改正法」という。）第一条の規定による改正前の国家公務員等共済組合法をいう。
"1985 National Pension, etc. Amendment Act" means the Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc. (Act No. 34 of 1985);
昭和六十年国民年金等改正法 国民年金法等の一部を改正する法律（昭和六十年法律第三十四号）をいう。
"Japan Tobacco Mutual Aid Association", "Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Mutual Aid Association" or "Japan Railways Mutual Aid Association" means the Japan Tobacco Mutual Aid Association, the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Mutual Aid Association or the Japan Railways Mutual Aid Association prescribed in Article 8, paragraph (2) of the pre-amendment National Public Officers Mutual Aid Act, respectively;
日本たばこ産業共済組合、日本電信電話共済組合又は日本鉄道共済組合 それぞれ改正前国共済法第八条第二項に規定する日本たばこ産業共済組合、日本電信電話共済組合又は日本鉄道共済組合をいう。
"period as a member of a former applicable corporation mutual aid association" means, for a person who was a member of the Japan Tobacco Mutual Aid Association, the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Mutual Aid Association or the Japan Railways Mutual Aid Association (hereinafter referred to as the "former applicable corporation mutual aid associations"), the period during which the person was such a member (including a period deemed to be a period during which the person was such a member pursuant to the provisions of other laws and regulations and a period added to the period during which the person was such a member pursuant to the provisions of other laws and regulations).
旧適用法人共済組合員期間 日本たばこ産業共済組合、日本電信電話共済組合及び日本鉄道共済組合（以下「旧適用法人共済組合」という。）の組合員であった者の当該組合員であった期間（他の法令の規定により当該組合員であった期間とみなされた期間及び他の法令の規定により当該組合員であった期間に合算された期間を含む。）をいう。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 119Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act
第百十九条（労働者災害補償保険法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
With regard to insurance proceeds in respect of an occupational accident and a commuting accident caused by an accident that occurred before the effective date pertaining to a member of a former applicable corporation mutual aid association (limited to a mariner member prescribed in Article 119 of the pre-amendment National Public Officers Mutual Aid Act; the same applies in Articles 121 and 125 of the Supplementary Provisions), the provisions of Article 55-2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act before its amendment by the provisions of the preceding Article remain in force.
